2014 Year in Review PDF Print Email

Powers of Two is a fabulous book by Joshua Wolf Shenk about the chemistry between and psychology behind duos. He describes how the dyad is the most fluid and most flexible of all relationships. The unique powers of creativity and collaboration that exist within pairs is a phenomenon being studied through famous partners like Apple’s Steve Jobs and Steve Wosniak…and the songwriting collaboration between Paul McCartney and John Lennon.

Okay, okay, so maybe our brand of Siegfried Dunlay magic doesn’t mirror these famous pairs, but in all humbleness, there is a power in our pairing that we bring to our clients every day. With blessings and gratefulness for our partnership, the Siegfried Dunlay duo continues to thrive as we launch our 14th year in business.

We had an action-packed year supporting our clients, ranging from multi-billion dollar global public and private companies to small and midsize companies with diverse customers. We built new relationships this year in addition to a great year with many of our existing and beloved clients that we’ve worked with for years.

Here is a snapshot of where we spent our time in 2014:

Designed a research project for a Non-Profit firm funded by global companies in the food industry. Interviewed the global leadership team and made recommendations for a more effective organizational structure and role clarity to ensure effective use of global volunteer organization.

Interviewed the leadership team and customers of media service company focused on clients in Silicon Valley to ensure they were structured to accommodate fast growth.

Coached a variety of mid-to-senior level leaders, helping them hone their communication skills and executive presence to reach their career aspirations at a leading global food company.

Designed and created multiple, new product and technology presentations for an international manufacturer used in customer meetings, industry conferences and internally to drive growth.

Created a series of high-level, strategic executive presentations for use at an inaugural investor conference for a global company.

Provided onsite support to VP Corporate Communications for multi-billion dollar global company on a variety of projects from quarterly earnings calls to global employee town hall meetings.

Designed a multi-month coaching program for a leading consumer electronics retailer focused on helping a young manager hone leadership and communication competencies.

Partnered with leading global company to create their annual employee giving campaign.

Supported CEOs and executive level leaders in designing and delivering annual board and strategic presentations and helping them prepare to answer questions, using video playback for coaching.

Served as lead agency for all marketing communication efforts for a global industrial client providing both strategic and tactical support from literature and customer communications to case studies, public relations, tradeshow support sales presentations and product launches.

Designed and implemented a family of 64 pieces of sales/technical literature for a global sales force toolkit.

Drafted a series of blogs and technical papers for a division of a global manufacturing company.

Supported a CEO client to create and deliver a presentation at a national conference in the publishing arena.

Created and designed a marketing and brand brochure, fact sheet and Board of Directors communication to celebrate the opening of a technical science center of a global manufacturing leader.

We have always believed that where the Siegfried Dunlay duo was concerned, 1 plus 1 equaled MORE than 2 because we love what we do. But, maybe it’s more than that – maybe it’s the magic of the dyad, the buddy system and our complementary chemistry. As a client of Siegfried Dunlay, you get the blended power of our collaborative thinking.

As you look toward your marketing or communication needs in 2015, we invite you to test our math: 1 plus 1 really doesn’t add up to 2.
