2003 Year in Review PDF Print Email

This past year, we’ve had the privilege and opportunity to work with some fantastic clients. Together, we’ve learned from each other while creating meaningful strategies and tactics to move their businesses ahead. And, we’ve had fun working together—an important part of our business relationships for both our clients and us. We also place a high level of importance on sharing similar values with the clients we work with an emphasis on integrity, honesty and mutual trust.

On the “mid-to-smaller sized” client list, we’ve teamed up with Northwest Manufacturing, Capitol Sales, Cubicles Plus, and Ramsey Town Center, L.L.C. On the “larger-sized” client list, we’ve partnered with Cargill, Honeywell, Target Corporation, UnitedHealth Group and H.B. Fuller. Here are some highlights from 2003.

Within our Strategic Business Planning Practice, we:

  • developed an annual strategic marketing and re-branding plan for a company that wanted to become the “John Deere” of its industry;
  • shaped and facilitated a business planning workshop to help a small client identify its customers, value proposition and strategic objectives;
  • developed a strategic employee brand strategy for a Fortune 1000 company poised for tremendous growth;
  • created a marketing plan for a 322-acre master-planned community currently under development;
  • developed and implemented a communication plan to launch a new on-line performance management system company-wide;
  • organized a Board of Advisors for one of our smaller clients; and
    produced and directed a consumer-based video for use in mass retailing.

In our Public Relations and Reputation Management Practice, we:

  • launched a national media campaign to introduce a major real estate development;
  • produced a quarterly media and advertising report for three businesses that represent a sector of a $25B business;
  • led the media strategy for a groundbreaking event that reached millions through print, radio and television;
  • handled a media crisis with a school district who was displeased with a client and its services;
  • provided public affairs management with a wide-ranging group of public officials;
  • produced a newsmaker survey and publicity campaign to promote an energy-saving product;
  • delivered media training for a range of clients;
  • managed media relationships with the Wall Street Journal, Popular Science, Popular Mechanics, HG-TV, House Beautiful, Home and Garden, USA Today, and a multitude of trade magazines in many industries;
    wrote press releases, media advisories, technical articles, case studies and advertorials; and
    served as the PR agency of record for several clients and company spokesperson with national and local media.

Within our Employee Communication and Leadership Effectiveness Practice, we:

  • launched a Personal Leadership Training and Coaching program for key leaders in a multi-billion dollar company;
  • produced an annual audit of employee communication vehicles;
  • provided content for monthly on-line newsletters;
  • completed an audit of 20-plus executive speeches against the company’s key message platform; and
  • wrote speeches for leaders in several companies as well as provided coaching on effective delivery.

As we continue our momentum in our third year of business, Siegfried Dunlay is committed to maintaining high standards of excellence with all of our clients. We stay personally involved in every aspect of the work we deliver, bringing more than 40 years of business expertise to our clients.

We are grateful for all of our wonderful clients, and we look forward to another great year in helping them achieve their business goals through effective business, marketing and communication strategies.

Warmly,

Barbara and Janell
