2008 Year in Review PDF Print Email

 

We are all watching history in the making for so many reasons as 2008 draws to a close, and we usher in 2009. We share in the message of hopefulness for our country to return to peace and prosperity.

 

As we launch into our eighth year, we are grateful that our clients continue to rely on us for support in both growing their businesses AND in working through tough business challenges. Our focus is on providing strategic counsel that is smartly paired with impactful marketing and communication tools—at fees that fit resource-strapped budgets. 

 

A strong area of focus for us in 2008 was our leadership coaching practice. Designed for the senior leader, we help enhance communication skills and polish leadership skills. We’ve immensely enjoyed working in this rewarding area and hope to do more of that work this year.

 

Each year we look back to reflect why we’re in business and what we stand for. Are we doing relevant work? Are we stretching ourselves? Are we doing our best work and having some fun in the process? We continue to answer “yes” to these questions. And, we are honored to share our values and deliver our best work for so many wonderful clients on inspiring projects.

 

A few highlights from 2008:

  • Led the execution of a communication strategy for an 18-month global financial system change impacting employees and customers to ensure successful implementation;
  • Managed content strategy, wrote and produced a quarterly global employee newsletter in seven languages;
  • Launched an internal coaching program to hone and enhance leadership effectiveness of key leaders;
  • Facilitated international publishing of a new book and managed all public relations;
  • Served as agency of record for all PR in the consumer electronics market including media kits for national tradeshows;
  • Conducted an annual audit of print and online employee publications along with executive speeches to measure success in achieving key message goals;
  • Facilitated a multi-day change management meeting with a group going through a structure change;
  • Developed strategy for and conducted customer loyalty and brand research as the first phase in enhancing the company brand and e-commerce website;
  • Helped prepare a new business to launch into the marketplace by developing a strategic marketing plan with measurable goals, creating the visual brand identity and key message platform, and preparing launch marketing materials;
  • Developed a web sitelet with custom content designed to help facilitate and increase sales with a major customer; 
  • Completed strategic planning and development of a vendor extranet site to streamline and enhance communication to hundreds of vendor partners nationally; and
  • Prepared leadership for a significant change management initiative within a distribution center to minimize work disruption and maximize employee understanding and support.
