CHALLENGE: A U.S. based corporation wanted to deliver more effective, brand-right and consistent internal communication across its network of locations. The communications team's goals were to enhance speed and efficiency while making sure there was a sustainable, yet scalable structure for anticipated growth.
APPROACH: Siegfried Dunlay began with an assessment strategy that included interviews with 20 executives at 10 national locations to fully understand the role of communicators in the field. Key findings and recommendations were presented to the EVP’s staff. Once buy-in was secured on this major function restructure, Siegfried Dunlay served on the implementation task team, built the timeline, wrote job descriptions and prepared the communication plan and tactics to roll out the change across the network.
RESULTS: The communication structure was centralized into a strategic function built on common best practices. The approach delivered 73% savings in their annual spend while enhancing the communication services provided.
“We simply didn’t have the internal horsepower to really look at this business problem we were facing. It’s so great we have partners like you to turn to. What a great result we achieved.” —Director of Communications
