We’ve all had lazy days where we show up at meetings and do nothing more than take up space…we don't deliver a message, we aren't engaged or we don't participate. 

Here's a tip: Don’t do this.

Back-to-back meetings are not a good excuse to merely show up. Instead, show up to every meeting with a purpose.

Ask yourself these questions when preparing to make an impact, drive an action or share a point of view:

• Why am I in this meeting?

• How am I contributing to the meeting’s success or failure?

• Is there a specific value I can bring?

• Am I being a disruptor in this meeting? (Do I want to be a disruptor?)

• What point of view can I share? 

• Am I detracting from or adding to the meeting goals? 

• What provocative questions can I ask?

• What key messages can I deliver?
